The Citroën My Ami Buggy has sold out in the UK after the ultra-limited run of machines went on sale on Tuesday (20 June).
-
Hold on, haven't we seen this before?
Originally launched as a one-off concept, the My Ami Buggy was put into production last year with just 50 examples offered in France only. In fact, the car was so popular it sold out in 18 minutes, with one buyer completing the order in less than three minutes.
-
How much will it cost in the UK?
Just 40 units of the My Ami Buggy were made available to UK buyers, with the mini EV costing £10,495.
-
Which models are part of the Ami line-up?
Citroën already offers a passenger and commercial version of the Ami. Fitted with a 5.5kWh battery, the quadricycle offers up to 46 miles of range and has a top speed of 28mph.

Tell me more about the design
The My Ami Buggy is almost identical to the standard version, but gets a funky Khaki exterior colour scheme, gold steel wheels, and black body panels inducing a skid plate, wheel arches and rear spoiler.

Tell me more about the design
The My Ami Buggy is very much a machine for the summer, with the quadricycle featuring a fully opening roof. For use in all conditions, Citroën has added a waterproof canopy that zips over the roof opening. The canopy can be rolled up and attached to the back of the car for a full drop-top driving experience.
-
Can it be used in all weather conditions?
Like the one-off model, the My Ami buggy features frame doors, but to protect occupants from bad weather, Citroën will offer the quadricycle with plastic covers which zip onto the doors. For everyday use the covers can be rolled back towards the rear and pinned onto the door pillars.
The covers can also be removed and stowed away during the summer – or left on if you buy a My Ami Buggy in sunny Britain.
-
Is it the same as the My Ami Buggy sold last year?
Citroën’s new Bugger version differs slightly to the first car offered in France, and now features a new sun visor which has been created by extending the roof frame on top of the quadricycle.
-
Anything else I should know about?
Inside the My Ami Buggy is almost identical to the one-off version, only this time the new version gets revised door frames and a new digital driver display.
The My Ami Buggy also features a mobile bag which fits into the steering wheel, and is held in place with clip-on rucksack straps.
And if you want to play some of your favourite tracks while on the move, Citroën has added a lightweight bluetooth speaker which sloths into a special housing in the dashboard.

One buyer managed to complete their order in just 2min 10sec, while the first ten cars were sold within four minutes.
