This is the Fisker Alaska, the American firm’s new electric pick-up which is set to launch in 2025 alongside the Fisker Ronin super saloon, Fisker Pear hatchback and recently launched Fisker Ocean SUV.
-
Fisker hopes its Alaska pick-up will be the ‘world’s lightest electric pick-up when it arrives in two years' time, and is set to offer its new machine for $45,400 (£35,702).
-
The Alaska will be offered with two battery packs: a 75kWh unit will offer a range of up to 230 miles, while a larger 113kWh battery pack will deliver a range of up to 340 miles.
-
Fisker has not yet revealed the power output of its future pick-up but says the Alaska will be able to sprint from 0-60mph in a time between 3.9 and 7.2 seconds, depending on the choice of motor.
-
The Alaska is set to carry over the electric motors rom the Ocean SUV, meaning the new pick-up will likely be offered with outputs ranging from 205kW to 420kW.
-
The Alaska sits on the firm's FT31 electric platform, although it is an extended version of the one used by the Ocean SUV.
-
It gets a large cargo bed measuring 1.37m at its smallest, but this can be extended to a whopping 2.28m and to 2.8m.
The Alaska also features what the firm calls a 'Houdini' cargo bed partition behind the rear seats that can be lowered electronically to create more space.
-
The Alaska does get some fun quirks, too. In the front the Fisker gets a huge 'big gulp' cup holder.
-
While in the back there is a special net to store your cowboy hat. Now that is niche.
There are loads of extra storage compartments, including a large centre armrest, a passenger tray and tablet holder.
-
The Fisker Alaska will enter production at the beginning of 2025 and is set to rival the Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1-T.
