Italian motorbike firm Piaggio has teamed up with experimental menswear designer Feng Chen Wang to produce a specially customised edition of its Piaggio 1 electric scooter.
The Piaggio 1 Feng Chen Wang features a special livery designed by the Chinese-born, London-based designer, but is mechanically identical to regular versions of the electric scooter. The custom design is available on both the standard 1, which features a 1.2kW motor with a top speed of 28mph, and the high-spec 1 Active, which uses a 2kW motor can can reach 37mph.
The special design by Feng features is designed to combined the vibrancy of London with traditional Chinese elements. That includes a hand-painted watercolour featuring a Phoenix, which represents virtue and grace in Chinese mythology, and the use of green on the seat upholstery and rims to reflect the indigenous flora.
And because anyone buying the Piaggo 1 Feng Chen Wang will surely want to make sure they look the part, there is also a designed helmet deign - and a collection of unisex streetwear garments.
The special edition is available to order now, priced at £2750 for the 1 and £3250 for the Active version, compared to £2350 and £2500 for standard versions that aren't offered with a matching wardrobe.
