Canyon bikes has partnered with street artist Penfold to create a one-off custom-painted Commuter:ON e-bike – and it will raffle the machine off to raise money for charity.
First shown at the London ebike Festival as part of The Cycle Show last month, the machine has been hand-painted by Penfold, also known as Tim Greshman, who specialises in graffiti, graphic design and street art.
Tickets for the raffle are available until June 26, and cost £5 per entry. The proceeds will go to World Bicycle Relief, an organisation that mobilises communities through bicycles.
Penfold painted the bike live at The Cycle Show, and said that his inspiration lay in combining his own style with the bike.
“I guess when painting this I wanted to reflect good vibes and positive energy. I wanted it to be something that you could ride or hang on a wall, it's like a piece of art,” said Penfold. “As the bike is being raffled for World Bicycle Relief, I really like the idea that someone is going to donate to the charity, make a difference and receive something amazing in return.''
The Commuter:ON 7 is an urban commuter bike powered by a Fazua motor and battery system. You can enter the raffle here.
