A special edition Vauxhall Corsa-e electric car has been revealed to celebrate the supermini’s 40th birthday.
The Vauxhall Corsa-e Anniversary Edition features a range of design updates including a Record Red metallic paint finish - inspired by the Carmine Red from the Original Nova - black two-tone roof and badging and 17-inch black wheels.
Like the original Nova, the Anniversary Edition gets tartan fabric seats, with owners also receiving a presentation box with socks that match the seat upholstery.
The new model is based on the range topping GS Line variant of the Corsa-e meaning Anniversary Edition gets the same 7-inch touchscreen display, satellite navigation, DAB radio and digital instrument cluster.
Lane departure warning, lane keep assist, automatic city braking and front and rear parking sensors are also fitted as standard.
Each model also gets a numbered plaque fitted to the dashboard highlighting the Nova and Corsa’s 40-year heritage in the UK.
The Corsa-e Anniversary Edition is equipped with the same powertrain as the standard Corsa-e. Using a 50kWh battery the car has a range of up to 222 miles on a single charge. It can be charged at up to speeds of 100kW allowing for a 10-80% charge in just 30 minutes.
In total, 1000 Anniversary Edition examples will be sold in the UK. It will cost £31,000, almost £4000 more than the standard Corsa-e which starts from £27,055.
