British electric bike firm Mycle only launched a year ago, but it’s just launched three new models to its fast-expanding range.
The hybrid Cadence and Comfort and the fat-tyred folding Charge means the direct-to-consumer brand now offers a range of nine British-built e-bikes.

Priced at £1599, the Cadence is Mycle's first hybrid electric bike. With 35mm Kenda tyres and a 250W rear hub motor capable of providing up to 33.1lb ft of torque powered by a 7.8Ah battery, it should offer plenty of go for urban and not-so-urban environments.
It is available in three colour options and utilises disc brakes and seven-speed Shimano gears. It looks to be quite a basic bike but with an enticing price point and some sleek design on offer. There is also an option to fit luggage racks, which is ideal for commuters and utility riders.
The Comfort model is a step-through e-bike with a front suspension fork and 40mm tyres. Like the Cadence, it is priced at £1599, although it has a slightly larger 10.4Ah battery (10.4Ah compared to 7.8Ah). Designed for the urban rider, it comes with an integrated rack, a chain protector and mudguards.
The Comfort model also uses a Shimano seven-speed drivetrain, and Tektro disc brakes. Best suited for urban environments, the price is very tempting for an easy-to-use, run-about bike with luggage carrying capacity.
Adding a new and improved folding bike to the stable, the Mycle Charge offers up to 47.9lb ft of torque, which is unusually high for an e-bike.
The machine is also reasonably heavy for a folding bike at 26kg, but with fat tyres, suspension forks and luggage capacity, it appears Mycle has prioritised comfort and rideability over ease of transport. It's also priced at £1599 and comes in a choice of three colours.
All three bikes are now available to order on Mycle’s website.
