11 Oct 2022

Apollo Future Mobility Group (AFMG) has revealed the G2J rolling prototype, a super-sleek all-electric sporty EV, which showcases the new brand’s electric car ambitions.

The G2J has been in development for more than two years and is currently undergoing testing to refine and validate its powertrain, connectivity and digital technologies that will underpin future electric sports car products.

AFMG is a spin-off of Apollo Automobil, the manufacturer behind cars such as the Apollo Arrow and wild IE hypercar

The research and development process for the G2J, as well as all future Group sports cars, will be led by the firm’s European R&D centre in Germany.

Based in Ingolstadt, the centre was formerly the home of German automotive engineering consultancy Ideenion, before it was acquired by AFMG in 2021.

AFMG says the G2J showcases the brand’s long-term commitment to building cars using lightweight composite materials, with a focus on using carbon fibre for future electric products.

The rolling prototype is a teaser to the first AFMG electric sports car which the firm says will be unveiled soon. G2J informs the broad dimensions and aerodynamic characteristics of the forthcoming AFMG EV.

According to the German marque, all future AFMG electric vehicles will be inspired by the brand’s previous models such as the Apollo IE and Project EVO.

AFMG promises to deliver the world's most ‘emotional and compelling electric sports cars’, as well as products with multiple body styles and platforms.

The first AFMG electric sports car concept will be unveiled by the end of 2022.
