VanMoof releases new dark gray colourway for A5/S5 models

16 Mar 2023

The Dutch e-bike brand VanMoof has launched a new Dark Gray colourway for its latest models of e-bikes, the A5 and S5. According to VanMoof, the latest colour, “draws on the unique coexistence of light and dark in city spaces to frame the aesthetic of its latest city e-bikes.”

They have also stated that orders will be ready to ride within eight weeks. This can only be a positive sign as the firm looks to bounce back after financial difficulties last year, where they were forced to ask investors for more cash towards the end of 2022.

The A5 and S5 models were originally launched in April 2022 in a lighter gray colour. The new colourway will be priced the same as the old, at £2998 for both A5 and S5 models. The difference between the models is just the height of the rider they are suited towards. The A5 for riders between 155-200cm and the S5 for riders between 165-210cm.

VanMoof has also said that the new Dark Gray colour “completes the brand’s 5 series”, so anyone waiting for a Hawaiian print might have to start looking at vinyl wraps instead.

The Dark Gray A5 and S5 models are available to order on the VanMoof website now, with delivery expected within eight weeks.
