Electromod firm Everrati to electrify classic Mercedes models

5 May 2022

British firm Everrati is to partner with classic car restoration company Hilton and Moss to restore and electrify Mercedes W113 SL Pagoda models.

Oxfordshire-based firm Everrati currently restores and electrifies a selection of classic cars, swapping the combustion engine for the latest electric vehicle powertrains.

Now the firm is adding the Mercedes SL Pagoda to its line-up with help from Hilton and Moss, a company which has worked with Mercedes-Benz models for more than 40 years.

The original Mercedes SL Pagoda was launched in the early 1960s as a two-seater roadster and was aimed at the luxury car market.

Everrati says that it works “meticulously to respectfully preserve the original character and ‘feel’ of its redefined icons” adding that the new Mercedes will remain “true to this ethos”.

Each car will be stripped down to a bare chassis then built up again using original, refreshed parts where possible. 95% of the restoration work will be done in-house at the Hilton and Moss factory.

The Everrati Mercedes SL Pagoda gets a 57kWh battery, which delivers a range of up to 160 miles, 180bhp and a 0-60mph time of seven seconds.

“With its industry-leading expertise in Mercedes-Benz vehicles and passion for exquisite restoration, Hilton and Moss is the perfect partner to help us redefine the W113 SL ‘Pagoda’ experience,” said Justin Lunny, founder and CEO of Everrati.

Peter Hilton, founder of The Hilton Group added: “ Having developed 40 years of knowledge with Mercedes-Benz vehicles, we pride ourselves in providing an authentic feel behind the wheel.

“Everrati’s EV technology and engineering bring another exciting dimension to this experience, and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to offer our combined expertise to customers seeking a stylish and thrilling classic motoring experience.”
