German car brand Mini is hoping to accelerate the adoption of emission-free cars by offering a home wallbox charger as part of a new vehicle purchase.
Available to all Mini Electric orders from January to the end of March 2023, customers will be able to benefit from a complimentary Pod Point home charger and installation.
Mini says the Pod Point device is three times more efficient than a standard domestic plug and can boost the battery life of its EV from 0-80% in around three hours.
Customers will also have access to the Pod Point App which will allow them to view their charging activity, track costs and schedule charging for off-peak hours when tariffs are cheaper.
Mini Electric owners get 12 months access to Mini Charging without a subscription fee, which enables users to access numerous public chargers with just one RFID card. Drivers can use charges at over 11,000 locations across the UK and 173,000 across Europe.
Those looking to benefit from the free Pod Point charger will need to place an order before 31 March.
