Czech firm Skoda has reinterpreted the concept of its 1957 1100 OHC to create the Vision GT, an all-electric racing car which has been showcased through computer-animated designs sketches.
The new concept car is much like its forebear, an open-top racing car finished in red. Unlike the 1100 OHC the Vision GT has been designed as a single-seater with teh diver sitting in the centre of the vehicle.
Skoda says its new concept features a flat on-screen bar that doubles as a windshield. Important information on the car can be projected onto the drivers helmet visor, similar to a head-up display.

The Czech car maker says it is using the concept “to send a clear signal for sustainable sportiness and emotion in the digital age”.
Vision GT also ties in with Skoda’s tradition of the ‘Icons Get a Makeover; series, which includes iconic models from the company’s history, such as the 130 RS, Felicia and Rapid Monte Carlo.
The exterior of the new Vision GT concept features flat lines and clear, sharp edges, which Skoda says echoes the design of a Formula E car.
The concept also features active aerodynamics to allow for “optimum driving performance” at all times. Skoda has also added its new logo in the form of a red hologram.
The car will be on display at the Design and Transformation exhibition in Brussels.
