Leading electric motorbike manufacturer Vmoto Soco Group has snapped up its UK distributor to gain direct control of the market, in a move that will lead to an expanded line-up of models.
Vmoto Soco has been active in the UK since 2015, with Super Soco one of the UK’s biggest selling electric motorbike brands. It offers a range of models, including the Move Electric Award-winning Super Soco TC Max.
Until now, distribution in the UK has been handed by a firm called Vmoto UK Distribution Ltd. But that firm filed for administration earlier this month, so the Australian-Chinese manufacturer has now stepped in and bought it up, taking direct control of the UK sales network.

A newly established firm, Vmoto Soco UK, will now run the brand’s UK operations. Vmoto Soco says that the move will “guarantee long-term stability to owners and dealers”.
So does all that mean to customers? Well, the key thing is that it ensures Super Soco models will continue to be sold in the UK. The firm says that will also include a new range of models priced from £1699.
There will also be an increased presence for the new premium Vmoto brand, including the recently revealed Stash model. The company is also planning a range of dedicated Vmoto fleet models for the rapidly growing delivery bike market.
Charles Chen, the managing director of Vmoto Soco Group said the move would give the firm “direct access” to more than 50 UK dealers, and would allow the brand “to further expand its presence in the UK with an established team”.
Vmoto Soco UK sales boss Clive Mann called the move “a potential game changer for the UK two-wheel EV market.” He said it would allow “us to push the Vmoto Super Soco as a manufacturer owned brand to the next level.”
