Automotive technology firm REE has unveiled a new version of its P7 electric delivery van that is focused on the fast-growing delivery vehicle market.
The new REE P7-B EV is closely related to the recently revealed Proxima Powered by REE walk-in delivery van and built on the same P7 modular platform. But the new version has been developed around Class 3 delivery truck standards, where it could be used in the form of a 16-foot van or delivery truck.

The P-7B features an "ultra-low" flat floor to maximise the interior capacity, and can accept a payload weighing up to 4400lbs (2000kg), with a vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or up to 14,000lbs (6350kg). The machine offers an all-wheel-drive powertrain using a 40kW and 402lb ft motor, giving a top speed of 75mph.
While REE has not specified the battery size, it says the machine will offer a range of up to 150 miles. It also features all-wheel-steering, torque vectoring and adaptive regenerative braking, and can also support over-the-air updates.
Inside, the Israeli firm says the cabin has a driver-focused design with "optimal ergonomics" that are designed for maximum comfort and safety while working. The machine has also been designed trying to minimise the total cost of ownership.
The firm has been conducting evaluations tests with the P7-B and other vehicles built on the P7 chassis at its UK Engineering Centre in Nuneaton.
Tali Miller, REE's chief business officer, said: “Feedback from our customers has been that this is the truck they have been waiting for – a driver-centric work truck that drives like a saloon car but is built to deliver under the harshest commercial duty cycle.
"Our modular P7 chassis allows us to design vehicles tailored to our customers’ needs and we are excited to be showing them what our unique technology affords their fleets as we support them on their path towards electrification and carbon neutrality.”
Both the P7-B and other vehicles using the P7 chassis are set to be produced in both the UK and North America.
